Mission Statement

The mission of Progressive Housing, Inc. is our essential reason for doing business. It is the reason why we exist. Our mission statement is:

We Provide an

Array of Social and Life Services

Focusing on Individual

Enrichment, Growth and Independence

for People with Needs.

Individual Enrichment is the act of making one life fuller or more meaningful or rewarding. It also means to make better or improve in quality of life.

Individual Growth is a process of continuous change in which things are improving; the result of developing oneself.

Individual Independence is the quality or state of being not requiring or relying on others (as for care or livelihood).

We work to achieve these qualities by providing the following social and life services for the individuals served:

Social Habilitation: We demonstrate and therefore teach proper social skills. Partners assist individuals with grooming, hygiene and clothing selection. Individuals attend speech therapy, occupational therapy and/or educational programming.

Health Services: Progressive Housing, Inc. has Nurse Consultants on staff that provides services to ensure each individual receives the proper medication, treatment and diet as specified by the physician.

Day Training: Each individual is evaluated and tested before being placed at a local community day training site where they will receive vocational training as well as pre-vocational training assistance.

Activities: In order to encourage self-care and enhance the individual’s abilities to engage in normal activity, a planned program and individual activities are prepared for each individual. The individual activities are designed to enhance the individual’s growth and development.

Progressive Housing, Inc. provides an array of progressive programs designed to promote independence, choice, normalization, and age appropriateness, while preserving their human rights and dignity. With our dedicated and professional staff, we are meeting the needs of people, providing settings, and circumstances, which promote the happiness and well being of our individuals.
